greetings from toronto!!

so here i am safe and sound at the mc house, waiting up for andrea. man, do the mc ever work hard! they get up early and come home late from work...those crazy kids! now that is what i call dedication! they can't even be pulled away from their desks. *bows down to the mc* "we're not worthy" hehe anyways, this place is so cute i think i'll go hang out on the porch and enjoy the warm night breeze before i head off to bed =) ok so here's how my vacation has gone so far...

day one: missed my first flight to vancouver due to...umm...the fact i was still packing! and then the flight after that was delayed for about 4 hours, so i was really annoyed by the time i got to vancouver. diana was at the airport, but we had to bus then skytrain it to her place(adventures with luggage in the public transit system part one). we didn't settle in until 1am!!

day two: diana and i ventured to metrotown and chinatown. did some bargin shopping (duh i was with diana) and found a bunch of nice things for less that 40 bucks hahaha. then she dropped me off at the sky train station where i headed for the ubc dorms (adventures with luggage in the public transit system part two). then i had to drag my luggage for about 3 blocks from the bus stop to the dorms. i got lost...dragged my luggage through construction and gravel...and finally about 45 frustrating minutes later...i found the dorms. cute lil dorms. beautiful campus. hot dudes with no shirts on. I LOVE BEACH TOWN! anyways i venutred off to robson street *yawn* so boring after shopping in toronto. and then headed home and called it a night after a frustrating day. i think i spent most of my day on transit, which definately makes me appreciate home so much more. i have a car, far is 20 minutes away, i never have to use public transportation, i never have to sit next to stinky strangers.

day three: i got up early to meet up with myra and chris for lunch. my was having a crappy day so we bought a pack of smokes and had a pitcher of beer with our lunch. its funny how nothing changes between us, even though we haven't seen each other in about 3 or so years. my and i discovered that we still had so many things in common, and hanging out with chris is as normal as if we did lunch every day...not like once every three years. then me and my ventured off to the shopping mall. we went to aritzia...and discovered that there was a tna store downtown. so we booked it and went a lil crazy. i think my spent more than i did!!! but nothing cures the blues like spending money you dont have =) anyways my was more of the tourist cuz i had to tell her which stops to get off and how to get back lol. and then we took pics outside of the tna store. coolgeeks =)

later on that evening, i ventured off into unknown territory. i wasn't going to leave beachtown without heading to the beach. and there happened to be on steps away from my dorm. i went and sun tanned at wreck beach (a clothing optional beach teehee). at first, i was super awkward, since most people opted to not wear any clothing. i had no idea where to look hahaha and i was getting hit on by some scary guys (thank god they had board shorts on) but i found a nice chinese family sitting on the beach so i sat near them and tried to blend in =) the view...scenery...like the nature and stuff was gorgeous and the sun setting over the ocean was breath taking. anyways, i dipped my feet into the pacific, wadded in the water as the tide rolled in, then headed back home.

later on, i went to visit scotty at his crazy yaletown bachelor pad! he gave me a grand tour of his building. it had a lap pool, gym, and volleyball court! and then he showed me his brand new bike...yah scotty's pretty much got it going on. good job, nice place, bike, vancouver...what more can u ask for =) oh wait he'll be mad if i didn't say he was good looking...fuckin good looks..hahahah

day four: myra picked me up and drove me to the airport. shes a bum for missin out on ugly naked dudes at the beach! and then off to montreal i go! i met a really interesting dude from taiwan, who's originally from montreal (accent and all ooh) and we chatted while were waiting for our plane, bumped into each other at the coffee place, smoking lounge, etc...so we just decided to ask if we could continue our conversations and sit together on the plane. he told me where to go in montreal, and made fun of me for smoking, travelling alone, and going to nude beaches.

we finally made it to montreal, and i took the cab to meet martin, mike, nancy, mani, and jim. as soon as i got to the dorms, the offered me a beer and we hit up a club called tokyo. i got pretty wreck, well we pretty much all did...and then we started on our druken stumble back home.

day five: the boys left for toronto, so i had the entire day to myself. i ventured up and down st. catherines street to do some shopping. then went to tour old montreal! it is sooOOooOOo beautiful there in old mtl. if you ever visit, this is somethig you have to see. cute lil shops, old european atmosphere. its where i became addicted to crepes. after a long day i headed home, but decided to check out what the salsa scene is like. so i found this cute lil place, talked up the bar tender who introduced me to the regulars, which meant...that i didn't sit down the entire night...i wouldnt normally complain...but i was on my feet for like 4 days straight! dancing was so much fun, even if i was on my own!! and i made a lot of new friends in montreal =) i must go back!!

i will continue this tomorrow...im gonna go to bed...

continuted...

day six: ok i got to tdot at about 2pm...and ventured off to downtown (adventures with luggage in the public transit system part four) and meet andrea at the mc office. i then got settled in at the mc house. i crashed until everyone got home. got up and watched a 3 hour hindi movie with the gang. brian came over for a quick visit and the first thing he said after saying hello was "wow you're tanned." thanks brian =) then went to bed and caught up on gossip with andrea =)

day seven: melanie stopped by and we met up with andrea for lunch at a sushi restaurant. after lunch mel and I went shopping at yorkdale and eaton centre. We did some serious damage =)

later on that night, alex invited me to join brian and friends at some club/bar/lounge-ish place. it was alright cuz it was hip hop night and they played good music and the bboys and bgirl were doing their thing. and of course there was a lot of beer drinking =) i dont know how much i had to drink cuz someone kept pouring their beer into my cup, probably when i wasnt looking...hehe

day eight: i was supposed to go to wonderland with mel, but i didn't end up getting out of bed until about 2pm. so all i did was find the puma store, and shop down queen street. i finally came home and waited for everyone to get home, but they all went to bed. andrea rolled in after 11 and we hung out and just chilled and gossiped on the porch. the chill porch, i love it there =) we finally went to bed and gossiped some more, and we realized it was exactly one year ago that we were both in toronto. we got here caribanna week on the thursday =) it was our one year anniversary, we reminised about how much fun we had last year, and how close we were to getting raped (exaggerated) by those crazy fluid lounge boys! and its funny how many things could change in a year! anyways, its nice that we're both back together on caribanna week in toronto one year later =)

day nine: yikes my vacation is almost over...but so far this trip has exceeded my expectations! i've met up with old friends and its so nice to pick up where we left off even if i haven't seen a lot of them in years! although i know i'm gonna miss them terribly when i get home! and i've finally broken out of my shy shell, and met some interesting people along the way =) i've done so many thing out of my norm (nude beach, loner at the salsa bar) but i think i would've regretted it if i hadn't been so daring...lol yes thats what i call daring. anyways, on the adgenda for today. i'm meeting lee for lunch. beach volleyball (crosses fingers, and hope it doesn't rain) then get loaded at the bar. i'll end this now and let u all know how the rest of my trip goes as soon as i get home!

so tired...

ahh had a great workout today. and then i ventured off to the tennis courts with rom and had a fun lil match. aside from the millions of mosquito bites i have it was really good excercise. haha everyone is so health conscious lately, but i guess its nice and we feed off of each other motivation. it beats last summers beer drinking and bbq eating day after day after day...hehe

anyways i forgot to mention that dennis and i found this really good thai restuarant in osborne. we were sooOOooOooOoo craving thai while we were driving around...and poof as if by magic one just appeared in the corner of our eyes hehe. it was a nice lil corner nook. i think it was called taste of bankok? or something. whatever they had really good coconut rice and chicken panang...

ooh...a new post!

it's been a crazy three weeks! so since my last post i have tonnes to blog about...but i'll try to keep it short...

so my performance with less was CRAZY! i made an ity bitty mistake in my shines but pooh i don't think anyone noticed! hehe we had soOOooOooOoo much feedback from everyone, and people were wondering if we had second performance prepared. encore encore hehe so many compliments coming from less' family who are dance freaks and probably would've been our worst critics, except they absolutely loved our show! i've forgotten how much i love performing! i'm scared and excited to see the video cuz i haven't seen myself dance in a while, but i don't think i did that horribly! i know the only embarrassing thing will be watching myself dance with a performance-cheesy-assed-cheeck-to-cheek smile =)

i've been at my new job for almost a month and it has been GREAT!! why didn't i think of looking for an office job sooner? I LOVE IT! i look forward to going to work everyday. i love my weekends off. i love my 2 hour lunches and having picnics at assinaboine park. i also love getting free chiropractic adjustments. (if you don't know anything about chiropractors go research, and give it a try...it makes such a noticeable difference...and check you're health care or insurance sometimes it's covered so you might have chiropractic and massage coverage and you might not even know it!! *end public service announcement* hehehehe)

the girls went to a bachelorette party at TYC a few weeks ago. i'm pretty tired of TYC but we went anyways. ho hum. same old same old. the only new thing is that i'm getting hit on by younger and younger guys. yuck. it's time for a trip to tdot i think! soon. three weeks soon. my flights are for some reason cheaper wowhwohw so i think i'm gonna make a stop to montreal before i hit up toronto!

i finally had my first aiesec event of the summer, and the weather was beautiful! we ended up at harbourview for mini golfing and a football and ice cream. and a few of our office buddies aims joined us! it was very
